An Unprecedented Combination of Dry and Wet Condition Performance
Achieving the lowest possible friction in a chain lube has traditionally required sacrificing weather resistance. So-called wet lube chain lubes have often been energy-draining and dirt-collecting. Rex Black Diamond combines world-class lubrication performance with exceptional weather resistance in an unprecedented way. Successfully tested in demanding race conditions both on trails and on the road.
Solvent-Free, Non-Evaporating, Undiluted
Most chain lubes on the market contain volatile solvents or even water. This is an effective way to cut manufacturing costs, but at Rex, we took a different approach.
Every drop of Rex is 100% lubricant—everything you apply to your chain stays there and does not evaporate into the air. As a result, a small, easy-to-carry bottle provides approximately 30 lubrication cycles.

DETAILED APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR BEST PERFORMANCE
Clean and degrease the chain thoroughly using a detergent like Rex Chain Cleaner, a chain cleaning device, or a brush. Rinse well with water and let it dry completely. Shake the bottle well and begin applying lube, 1 drop per roller, while pedaling backward. Use your fingers to smooth out and work the lube into the rollers while backpedaling at least 3-4 revolutions. Repeat by applying 1 drop per roller using the same method. Wipe off excess lube from the surface of the chain to avoid excess dirt build-up—only the lube inside the chain matters.
RELUBRICATION WHEN THE CHAIN STARTS TO SOUND DRY
Wipe the chain with a cloth or tissue until it appears clean. Apply lube, 1 drop per roller, as instructed above. Thorough cleaning is only needed if the chain is extremely contaminated. Depending on conditions, the typical relubrication interval is 50-500 km.
